POLICIES

The following policies are to help you and your child while you are a part of Little Kid’s Swagg, Learning Center. If you have any questions or concerns, please stop in the office and talk with the Director and/or Owner.


CAREGIVING:

Little Kid’s Swagg is prohibited from staff members personally providing babysitting services to the children enrolled in our program. If a staff member is the parent to an enrolled child, the staff member will not be placed in the same room. Also, our staff cannot transport enrolled children in their own vehicles unless they are on official school business, even if a previous relationship exists between parent and staff member.


TRANSPORTATION:

If a child has to be transported in a vehicle of the premises;

the parent my give permission and specify any special needs or problems of their child/ren


RELEASE OF CHILDREN:

Each child may be released only to the child’s parent(s) or authorized individual that stated on the application. In a case of an emergency the parent can instructed the center on who to release the child(ren) to. That individual must show identification in order for the center to release him/her.
In the provision that a child shall not be visited by or released to a non-custodial parent unless the custodial parent specifically authorizes the Center to allow such visits or release in writing. This written authorization shall include the name, address and phone number. This information shall be maintained on file.  If the non-custodial parent has been denied access to a child by Family Court,

the parent must provide to the center documentation to that effect.


FAILS TO PICK UP:

This is the written procedures followed by all staff members;

If a parent(s) or authorized individuals fails to pick the child(ren) up by the daily closing time:
1. There will be a late fee incurred.
2. A staff member will attempt to contact the parent(s) or authorized individual
3. If, the child/ren are still not picked up with-in an hour or more after closing, and the provided other arrangements for releasing the child to his/her parent(s) or authorized individual has failed and the staff member(s) cannot continue to supervise the child at the center, the staff will call the Department of Services for Children, Youth, and their Families at (302) 633-2657. They will assist in the caring for the child/ren until the parent(s) or authorized individual for the child is able to be reached or picks up the child.
4. NO child will be released to any parent(s) or authorized individual if the person appears to be physically impaired and/or emotionally impaired to the extent that the judgments of the Director and/or staff member feels that the child’s life would be placed at risk. The staff member will try to contact another family member. If not successful the center will contact the Department of Services for Children, Youth, and their Families.


FEES:

All parents’ fees from POC and any Plus fee must be paid by Friday of the week of service. If the parent fails to pay two weeks of service, the child may not return until the fee is paid up.
All non-POC members may pay their child’s tuition on a weekly schedule. IF bi-weekly, the payment should cover the current week and following week.


Please communicate any financial barriers.
